I always knew that happiness exists. Have you ever thought what happiness actually is?

Such a simple word is carrying an important meaning though. I thought of that. I came across it everywhere: in books, movies, people’s stories… But what is it? How to perceive the true happiness? How not to mistake simple joy, delight or pleasure for happiness? Is it possible to judge or asses happiness with grades, minutes or moments?...

It’s different. I have experienced a lot in my life and when I look back I see that I had some happy moments. Sometimes happiness is transient, sometimes hardly distinguishable from simple routine and sometimes not even mine at all, probably lost in my house…

I came to “Amely” agency about one year ago. I didn’t have any defined goals and I wasn’t sure if I was doing the right thing. So I completely relied on my destiny. The idea of searching for husband somewhere abroad had never crossed my mind before but one day all of a sudden I thought: “Don’t we live on the same planet? Why not?”

After some time I finally saw the picture of my future husband on the screen of the computer, in his profile together with the first letter. I sat upright, took the pen and a sheet of paper and wrote the answer. I was not sure if I receive a reply but soon he proved me I was wrong because I received new letters every day with sweet signature “With love, Tim!”

This correspondence changed my life. The thought that somebody abroad was smiling reading my letters began to warm my heart. Video dates followed later. I ran to the agency like on date after a hard working day, combed my hair, sat in the arm-chair and waited for joyful “Hello!” from Seattle.

We could sit in front of the computers for hours forgetting about the time difference and lack of language knowledge … Tim began to learn Russian and I could see him looking over cards with Russian words and phrases trying to pronounce them. After several attempts to make out his speech I caught the meaning and we laughed together – such a free and easy laugh…

I recall our first meeting and my heart thrills with delight and anxiousness. That happened last summer when the weather was really hot. Probably Tim was nervous also he even lost his luggage in the airport. We languished and worried but meanwhile did not forget to look into each other’s eyes. Then I understood that I looked at my future husband.

This winter was as warm as summer, the snow fell down on faces and hands with warm gentle snowflakes. Or maybe it was my heart which warmed me so much that I felt no cold? Or maybe that was happiness?

On the eve of the wedding I was crying, but now I know for sure – those were the tears of happiness. When we left the registry office time stopped for me, I watched the carefree waltz of snowflakes whirling in winter sky, such weightless and graceful snowflakes… I looked into Tim’s face and saw my future. His eyes reflected the whirlpool of white snow… Tim, you are my husband, you are – my happiness!
